Every time it rains, I look out my window and watch the rain fall. And most times, the rain suddenly lets up, and a smell rises up and envelops everything, an earthy smell, just like loneliness. I close my eyes and breathe in, drawing the loneliness deep into my lungs. Suddenly I see tiny glimmers of light; and am excited as the smell of loneliness turns into the fragrance of love. And once again, I breathe deeply of the air and ask the Creator for love, a love without end.
